TRAVEL SOCCER TEAMS HAVE BEEN SELECTED

All the “A” level soccer travel teams have been selected and the coach’s of the teams will be reaching out to you in the next couple days if not already. Once all the positions have been accepted we will pick the “B” level soccer teams in the age groups that have one.

If your child does not make a travel team, they can register for one of the Recreational teams at www.mtys.org

FALL SOCCER REGISTRATION OPENS ON APRIL 15th

Fall soccer registration is open on the MTYS website. We will have 3 days of in house registration and they will be on May 4th (9AM-1PM), May 15th (7-9PM) and June 1st (9AM-1PM).

We plan on having two NJ State license courses at MTYS this summer. We will have one class for the “F” license and one for the “E” license. You will need at least an “F” license to coach at the travel level.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE U-13 GIRLS STORM FOR WINNING THE NATIONAL CONFERENCE IN THE SJGSL

The U-13 Storm went 6-2-1 to win the National Conferenc in the South Jersey Girls Soccer League. Congratulations to the team and coaching staff for a job well done. We are all proud of you and wish you continued success.

SOCCER CAMPS AT MTYS THIS SUMMER

There will be two soccer camps at MTYS this year. The first camp will be for our recreational players and it will run from June 24^th to June 28^th. The second camp will be for our travel players and it will run from August 19^th to August 23^rd.

"F" LICENSE CLASS AT MTYS

MTYS will hold an “F” License class for all coach’s that are interested in coaching at the travel level. The dates for the class will be July 12^th and 13^th. It will consist of one classroom meeting on the 12^th at the Virtua Health and Wellness Center in Washington Twp and one training session at the Berwick Soccer Complex on the 13^th.

Please contact Lois Plone at lplone@mtys.org she has a link that will make sure our coach’s get in first since this is open to everyone in the state.

MEGAN'S LAW ORDINANCE

To all parents that are looking to become a coach in Monroe Twp.

There is an ordinance that was passed in the fall of 2012 in regards to Megan’s Law. This ordinance is not just for soccer it is for all sports in Monroe Twp. If you enact in anyway with children, Coach, Team Mom, Manager, Director, etc you will need to get a background check and wear a badge while you are on the complex working with the players. If you already have one from the fall you are good to coach this spring. If you have a badge from another sport in our township, you are good. This badge is good for all sports in Monroe.

If you are interested in becoming a coach at MTYS this spring you will need to act on this now since it takes a little time to get. You will need to go to the Pfeiffer center to get the form for your background check.

Please make sure you do not wait until the season starts or it will be too late and we will have teams without coaches. No coach will be allowed on the soccer fields without this badge and it will have to be enforced this season.

Please note that this is a private facility, not public property.

Seeing eye dogs are allowed when they are with the impaired owner.The owners of seeing eye dogs in training must contact the board for permission and the dog needs to be properly labeled.
